Barbaad - Duet Lyrics – Goldboy, Shipra Goyal | Helmet

Barbaad - Duet Song Description

This page shows the lyrics of a Punjabi-mixed Hindi song named "Barbaad - Duet" (बर्बाद - डुएट). This song is from the 2021 film "Helmet" , which features Aparshakti Khurana, Pranutan Bahl, and Abhishek Banerjee in lead roles. This song has been voiced by Goldboy and Shipra Goyal, while both the music composer and lyricist are Nirmaan, and it has been released by Zee Music Company. The title of the song, "Barbaad" (Ruined), reflects the pain and incomplete love where two people, despite being close to each other, could never become completely one.

The lyrics of the song tell the story of a relationship where there was love but it was never fully realized — lines like "Pyaar saade vich kade poora ni hoya, tu meri nai hoi, main kade tera ni hoya" (Love between us was never complete, you never became mine, I never became yours) convey that neither of them truly made the other their own. There are mentions of flaws (kamiyaan) and pride (garoor), along with the fact that promises were not kept, and both drifted apart in their own ways. In the end, there is a realization that this city or neighborhood was never their shared home — "Meri gali ch dubaara tera phera ni hoya, ye shehar tumhara kabhi mera nai hoya" (You never visited my street again, this city was never mine).

This song will be greatly appreciated by those who like listening to stories of broken love or unfulfilled relationships. The emotion in the voices of Goldboy and Shipra Goyal makes these lyrics even deeper. Nirmaan has written the words so beautifully that every line touches the heart — whether it is "Kujh kamiyan tere ch, kujh kamiyan mere ch" (Some flaws in you, some flaws in me) or "Tu mainu apne dil vich kade vi utaariya hi nai" (You never gave me a place in your heart). This song is for everyone who could never fully connect with someone and remembers their incomplete love.
