Shiddat Lyrics – Manan Bhardwaj | Shiddat

Shiddat Song Description

This song is "Shiddat" (शिद्दत), which is a very beautiful romantic track from the movie Shiddat of the same name. This song is voiced by Manan Bhardwaj, and he has also composed the music and written the lyrics — that is, Manan Bhardwaj is the Singer, Composer, and Lyricist of this song. This movie Shiddat features leading actors like Sunny Kaushal, Radhika Madan, Mohit Raina, and Diana Penty. This song has been released under the T-Series music label, and it has become very famous for portraying the depth and passion of love.

In the lyrics, a lover considers their beloved as God — they say "Tujh ko bana doon main apna khuda, aur sajde tere kar sakoon" (Let me make you my God and worship you) — meaning they want to bow before their beloved as if before a deity. They pray to always be with them — "Maangun dua saath hone ki, tere kaandhe pe sar rakh sakoon" (I pray to be with you, so I can rest my head on your shoulder) — and they want to make their beloved their destiny, their desire, and their worship. The word "Shiddat" itself means intensity, so in this song, the intensity and depth of love have been beautifully expressed.

In the further lyrics, they ask "Kyun ye hadein hain? Ye kyun sarhadein hain? Itne hain kyun faasle?" (Why are these boundaries? Why are these limits? Why are there so many distances?) — meaning why are there so many distances in love, when the destination is the same, why are the paths different. They want to make their love such a proverb that it is always remembered, and they want to create an inscription on water — meaning the feeling of love should be eternal. The song also says "Ye khaara samandar mera gawah hai, ishq hai mera ya mera gunah hai?" (This salty ocean is my witness, is this love or my sin?) — meaning they question their love and then turn that same love into their punishment and their court. Overall, "Shiddat" is a powerful and emotional track that portrays the passion, surrender, and devotional feeling of love, making it worthy of being on every romantic playlist.
