Raakh Ka Dariya Lyrics – Divya Kumar | Velle

Raakh Ka Dariya Song Description

This song is "Raakh Ka Dariya" (राख का दरिया), which is an emotional and thought-provoking song from the film Velle. This film features artists like Abhay Deol, Karan Deol, Anya Singh, and Savant Singh Premi. This song has been voiced by Divya Kumar, while the music is composed by Sohail Sen, and the lyrics are written by Siddharth - Garima. This song has been released under the label Zee Music Company, and it is still liked by listeners because of its deep and philosophical tone.

The lyrics of the song talk about sudden changes in life and the feeling of despair. Lines like "Socha tha kya-kya ho gaya, sab bewajah sa ho gaya" (Whatever I had thought, so much happened, everything became pointless) show that when a person sees their dreams shattered, everything feels meaningless. "Sau raaste saare galat, jo tha sahi kahin kho gaya" (A hundred paths, all wrong; what was right, got lost somewhere) conveys that even the right path has been lost. Words like "Raat kaali hai ab, roshan wo din gaye" (The night is dark now, those bright days are gone) and "Hai andhera ghana" (There is dense darkness) depict a mood of sadness and gloom. Beyond this, "Aag seene mein, khaak jeene mein" (Fire in the chest, ash in living) and "Aakhiri ye lamhe, raakh ka dariya" (These last moments, a river of ash) connect with the song's title and suggest that life now seems as useless and ruined as a river of ash.

In the further lyrics, even deeper symbols are found, such as "Hain daraarein kyun aaine mein? Dil gira hai kin khaaiyon mein?" (Why are there cracks in the mirror? In which pits has the heart fallen?) — meaning there is a crack in self-identity, and the heart has fallen into some deep abyss. "Bin dor ki patangein hain, bin chor ki surangein hain" (There are kites without strings, tunnels without ends) shows that no support or end is visible in anything anymore. Lines like "Humsafar tanha, darbadar duniya" (The companion is lonely, the world is homeless) show loneliness and wandering. Meanwhile, "Khanjali raahein, lamhon mein sadiyaan" (Crooked paths, centuries in moments) and "Maskari saansein, gumasuda khushiyan" (Laughing breaths, lost happiness) express the weight of time and the loss of joy. Overall, "Raakh Ka Dariya" is a philosophical and melancholic song that, with its heart-touching words and Sohail Sen's emotive music, very effectively presents the restlessness and despair of modern life.
